Be tHankFuL!


It’s the people who try to eradicate every hint of sadness and anger out of human existence I fault. Negative emotions are a vital part of the human condition and it isn’t until we experience them that we truly appreciate the positive opposites. In other words, one needs sadness in their lives to be able to fully recognize happiness when they come across it. Without anger, we can never appreciate the calm; our hatred and indifference emphasis our love. To deprive oneself of any emotion characteristic to our nature is to deny the very things that make us human. Our minds work the way they do for a reason.They are not broken.

I realised the reality of this when my friend sent me this mail on how a 9 month old baby was raped by 6 men. We live in such horrific times now that sometimes it makes you wonder.......what next? Can it get much worse? Or will it ever get better?

So really, it just makes sense to appreciate what you have. Live life the way that you have always wanted to and never let anyone tell you that you cannot ! Seize the moment because if you don't, you never know when you will ever get the chance do it again. The world is moving at such a dramatic pace that there no longer is such a thing as certainty. People who wait....procrastinate.....are those that will one day realise that the wait was not even worth that much. Doesn't mean that you rush into things and be careless.......just have a little common sense.

It's actually okay to be sad. It does not make you a manic depressive ! It only shows that you have the right emotions that were embedded into us ! Just be thankful and live everyday as if it were your last.
